Al-Akhbar newspaper reported on Tuesday that human remains belonging to three individuals were discovered Monday night in the town of Kherbet Rouha in Rashaya.
The daily added that the remains could either belong to Syrian soldiers or Palestinian militants killed in combat during Israel’s 1982 invasion of Lebanon as military uniforms were found with the remains.
The Lebanese Armed Forces(LAF) deployed in the area and prevented reporters from approaching the scene, said Al-Akhbar, adding that the remains will be fully recovered on Tuesday.
